A ceremony was held at "Mihailo Petrović Alas" Elementary School to mark the completion of the eighth cycle of the "Pupils Parking Place" initiative and the beginning of a new season of the fun and educational program "Pupil beg of you to slow down near school".

The City of Belgrade and the Public Utility Company "Parking Service," are implementing the "Pupils Parking Place" initiative in cooperation with 35 elementary schools within the zoned parking system area.

This year, schools received 10 interactive boards, 23 projectors, 18 multifunction printers, 4 computers with monitors, 4 sound systems, and 3 projection screens.

As the zoned parking system expands in Belgrade, the number of student parking spots also increases. This year, the host of the initiative is the Stari Grad municipality, which actively participates in all "Parking Service" projects within its territory, along with the "Mihailo Petrović Alas" school.

In addition to the donations, the start of the 18th cycle of the "Pupil beg of you to slow down near school" initiative was formally marked. A presentation for first-graders was conducted by a "Parking Service" animator, with support from the children’s choir "Čarolija." So far, more than 250,000 students in Belgrade have participated in this initiative.

The educational program is carried out with the support of the Traffic Police, and each student receives a reflective vest as a gift, making their movement on the streets safer. In the new season, more than 16,800 first-grade pupil will have the opportunity to learn basic traffic rules in a fun way.

The ceremony was attended by the executive directors of the Public Utility Company "Parking Servis" – Vladimir Bogićević, Miloš M. Petrović, Nikola Krajinović and Radenko Vuković – along with the assistant to the president of the Stari Grad municipality, Nevena Dodić, as well as the directors and representatives of 35 elementary schools participating in the "Pupils Parking Place" initiative.
