08.03.2011.

JKP ‘Parking Servis' employee Slavoljub Karadžić (35), has saved today along with a traffic policeman Vladimir Penezić (28), a woman from an apartment caught on fire in the Belgrade city center.

The traffic policeman Vladimir Penezic, who was patrolling the area around the Clinical Center of Serbia and issuing orders to tow away illegally parked vehicles, saw around 12 o'clock a black smoke coming out of the apartment on the first floor of the building on the corner of Bulevara Oslobodjenja and Kneginje Zorke Street.

Together with Slavoljub Karadžić he first entered the yard of the building where they saw the smoke and then the apartment from which the shouts could be heard. Penezić and Karadžić with a help of a neighbour succeeded in taking out from the apartment injured 51-year-old Dušanka Đorđević.

Soon afterwards, three fire engines arrived with 15 firemen as well as an ambulance vehicle. It took firemen almost an hour to put out the fire in the building which caught beside Dusanka's 70 square meters flat an upper floor. The fire was threatening to catch the whole building.
