New on-street parking sensors

The new on-street parking sensors at the “Vračar“ area will be in use from April 15. On-street parking sensors will be used to guide and simplify the search for available parking spaces.

During this year, 1.000 on-street parking sensors will be installed in the most challenging infrastructural part of Belgrade. Parking is integral part of traffic flow, and reduction of CO2 emission as well as better usage of existing parking spaces is priority in congested area of the city.

City Manager Goran Vesić pointed out that the idea of setting up sensors occurred during last year's visit of the Belgrade city delegation to Moscow.

On-street sensors will be deployed in Njegoševa street and alongside Mekenzijeva, Beogradska, Krunska and Kursulina street within 60 days. These sensors are made to remain operational under most challenging circumstances, with 10-years guarantee, said Andrija Čupković Managing Director of “Parking servis”.

This sensor system allows customers to find parking space fast, easy and stress free, which will decrease congestion and increase safety on the streets.
