JKP ‘Parking Servis' has listened to our customers' suggestions and introduced a new system of levels marking in the garage in Masarikova Street. ‘Parking Servis' staff installed new information boards on each level and the information board at the entry to the garage was replaced as well.

Some drivers who were using this garage with 460 places on 9 and a half levels found it difficult to remember where they had parked their cars because the ground floor was marked as the level eight. The new marking is simpler because the ground floor is marked as a level 0. The levels above the ground floor start with level 1 and under the ground floor they are marked as level - 1, - 2, - 3 . . .

‘Parking Servis' Interim Manager Andrija Čupković says that this issue was resolved as soon as our customers had pointed at it. These suggestions are always welcome because those who park their cars there know best what changes are necessary to make things run more efficiently.

‘Levels marking is just the first step we are going to take with the purpose of introducing more order in parking. Over the last couple of months we have reviewed all our fellow citizens' needs. As the people who work in the city center face a great deal of difficulty when looking for a parking space until 17.00 hours, we have decided to reduce the prices in garages in Masarikova Street, Pionirski Park and Zeleni venac on weekdays between 6.30 and 17.30 hours. The monthly subscription for a parking place was 20 000 dinars. As of now they will have an option of paying 300 dinars a day or a monthly subscription which will be 5999 dinars for a parking space near their work place', says Čupković.

In these three garages, a total of 200 parking spaces will be allocated to the drivers who work in the city center. By the end of next week they will be able to buy privileged tickets for employees. They will have to submit a vehicle license cert and a proof of employment. In the garage at Obilićev venac monthly price for the whole-day parking will be 30% lower than the current one.

On the other hand for those who come to the wider city center area after 17.00 hours we are introducing free parking on 431 parking spaces in Pasterova, Dr Subotića and Deligradska Street. A new parking system at no charge and without a time limit after 17.00 hours is introduced with a view to reducing the number of vehicles in the city center where the parking time is limited. With a Secretariat of Transport's approval, collecting of payment for parking will be carried out on weekdays from 07.00 until 17.00 hours instead of until 21.00 as it is the current time frame.
