New parks and car parks

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ and JKP ‘Zelenilo – Beograd’ have presented today in Zemun a campaign ‘Green parking’. During the campaign a few devastated green areas will be changed into parking space while the majority of such areas will be protected and cultivated by planting vegetation and putting up park furniture.

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ will charge parking services on some parts of such cultivated public areas and the money will be paid into special account allocated to maintaining green areas arranged during this campaign.

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ has initiated the campaign ‘Green parking’ and it has been accepted by JKP ‘Zelenilo – Beograd’.

- ‘One of the campaign’s aims is that it is recognized by our fellow citizens who would help us define the priorities and this is why we expect their initiative. This campaign and the money we collect would help us cultivate and maintain those green areas that have not been included in the annual plans’ said Zivorad Andjelkovic, JKP ‘Parking Servis’ CEO.

- ‘We have started to put into effect an interesting initiative which was prompted by the fact that many green areas in the city are endangered. On the one hand the campaign will contribute to solving the problem of parking and on the other putting in order green areas’ said Radovan Draskic JKP ‘Zelenilo – Beograd’ CEO.

By cultivating green areas in Klare Cetkin Street in Zemun, where the campaign was presented, 50 parking places and more than a thousand square meter of green areas will be acquired.

Cultivating of devastated areas has started on more locations at New Belgrade on initiative of this municipality. These locations can be found in the streets Pariske komune, Mihaila Pupina, Vladimira Popovica, Aleksinackih rudara, Radoja Dakica, Sremskih odreda, Dzona Kenedija and Luja Adamica, between Nehruova and Gandijeva, on the corner of Goce Delceva and Otona Zupancica and in dr. Zoran Djindjic boulevard.
