The Obilićev Venac garage is the first “green” garage in Europe

The Obilićev Venac garage in central Belgrade is the first garage in Europe to have received the Parksmart certificate recognizing high-performing, sustainable garages, and therefore became the first “green” garage in Europe.

The unveiling ceremony of the Parksmart plaque was attended by Minister of Environmental Protection Goran Trivan, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić and PUC “Parking Servis” director Andrija Čupković.

This award is the result of years of forward-thinking initiatives and reconstruction that transformed the garage into a facility with 804 parking spaces, solar panels, energy- efficient lighting and ventilation systems, electric vehicle fueling stations, bicycle parking and a waste sorting system.
