Manpower deployed at cleaning snow doubled

JKP ‘Parking Servis’ winter service teams have cleaned snow and ice off public car parks, fast parks and parking places in the city zone designated areas. Snow has also been removed from all access zones and car parks close to the hospitals and public institutions.

Although the snow was partially melting yesterday, 350 JKP ‘Parking Servis’ workers were cleaning the street car parks in order to prevent the areas from getting icy during the night. Some works on removing the snow and ice from a few parking places are underway today.

JKP „Parking servis'' je i ove godine spremno dočekalo zimu i snežne padavine. Do sada je utrošeno oko 80 tona soli. Stanje mehanizacije je približno prošlogodišnjem. Zimska služba JKP „Parking servis'' od potrebne mehanizacije na raspolaganju ima 3 kombinovane mašine sa raonicima, 3 mini utovarivača i jedan kamion za potrebe odnošenja snega. Ove godine, broj radnika koji uklaljaju sneg je više nego udvostručen. Oko 100 parking kontrolora i 250 radnika angažovanih putem omladinske zadruge angažovano je na uklanjanju snega sa 11 500 parking mesta i 38 objekata na kojima se obavlja kontrola i naplata parkiranja.

For the first time this year the soldiers at civil service have been deployed at cleaning the snow so that at one moment JKP ‘Parking Servis’ had at its disposal 450 strong workforce. ‘Parking Servis’ has also assisted other city public enterprises and in cooperation with them its teams worked on cleaning of the city’s pavements and the streets of the first and second priority.

Should we have a new snowfall, teams on duty have been set up with enough salt at their disposal.
