Wider parking spaces for persons with disabilities vehicles

PUC “Parking servis” has started with marking and painting with hatch marks accessible parking spaces for persons with disabilities.

The surface of accessible spaces and access aisles must be widened, marked and identified by signs that include the International Symbol of Accessibility. That means that newly marked parking space provides a width of 3,5 meters, including access aisles of 1,3 meters.

These widened parking spaces ensure safe use for people with disabilities, including those who must load, unload, and use wheeled mobility devices.

Until this moment, accessible spaces for persons with disabilities had been marked in these particular garages : "Obilicev venac”, "Zeleni venac”, "Masarikova”, and "Vukov spomenik”. Also, this kind of parking facilities can be found in the parking lots, such as: "Karadjordjeva”, "Kamenicka”, "Simpo”, "Politika“,"Cukarica“ and "Sava centar”.

In the newly opened garage "Baba Visnjina" can also be found accessible parking spaces for persons with disabilities. [gallery link="file" ids="17622,17623,17624"]
